I am going to talk about KISS. No, it has nothing to do with Valentine’s Day. KISS is an acronym for “keep it simple stupid.”

Sometimes we can over think things in our lives to the point of inaction. Are you making things harder than they need to be to get where you want to go?

Is there something in your life that should be simple and it has suddenly become a tangled web that you have helped to weave?

There are times in our lives when we need to get some outside advice from a trusted friend, counselor or coach. When we are too close to an issue we can lose perspective. The voice of a third party can help us simplify what we are not seeing.

There is beauty in simplicity.

And for the record, you’re not stupid.

It’s a new day …live it!

  1. Nice V-Day Post!
I first heard that quote in my early 20’s. I have referred to it many, many times since then, even though I still struggle with it sometimes. Our POS system at work is complicated, yet when you use it, you can ignore half the writing on the screen and just hit ‘continue!’ Boggles the mind! I feel like if it’s that simple, it should LOOK that simple. But sometimes it doesn’t look simple to me, and, I need to ask a co-worker if I’m on the right track. I really don’t like making mistakes at work, and I don’t like asking for help. Hmmm…what to do? Thanks for the reminder. I’m with you Joe. Do what it takes to hit ‘Continue.’
